Well, I got off work early today and decided to use my extra time wisely. So I went to Jo-Ann's just for a set of US 17 straight needles for this scarf that I am making. It is a test pattern called the Esme scarf. And also search for the yarn that is required. The pattern calls for Rowan Romance yarn. So of course Jo-Ann's doesn't have it. So I left there with a few "EXTRAS" that I probably needed like a need a hole in my head. I did do some bargain shopping though, the Bernat Sox yarn was 5.99 a skein. The Premier sock yarn was 4.99 a skein, so for a buck more, I got double the amount of yarn with the Bernat Sox yarn, so I got two of them. But oops!!!! I forgot to put back the Premier sock yarn.... But I had good intentions.... And all the double pointed needles were reasonably priced too...
And, then I got PMd from SquibStitcher that my next batch of Twilight/True Blood colorways were ready....So I paypal'd from my cellphone....Bad Julie....But happy....Hey I have to do my share in boosting this economy right???? I did pay a couple of bills and went grocery shopping as well, so we have food at least....Chloe, Nester, Fuzzy, Daisy, Me and my mom will not starve.... So here is a picture of my loot and of what is on its way.....She hadn't put all the labels yet when she sent me the pic....I cannot wait.... I did not realize how bad it was until I took everything out to admire them...... A monster has been created...hmmmm who can I blame for that...Gidge????? Okay, gotta get back to work so that I can pay for my addiction....Chow!!

Wowee! Let me know how you like that JoAnn sock yarn. I love the squib yarn, gorgeous! Whats the Esme scarf look like????? I think you've caught the knitting bug!:) Have a great weekend!
You should be able to find Rowan or other name brand yarns at LYS's. Joann's and Michaels are only more generic stuff like Bernat and Lion Brand.
If they don't have it you can always just google it and buy it online. There are so many yarns out there, most local LYS's won't carry ALL the labels so that's why the online places are good.
Try Webs (yarn.com) and Yarnmarket.com and a SLEW of others! LOL! (Ask me how I know...)
I would also suggest checking out comments on yarns on Ravelry. Some Rowan I've used in the past was so NOT worth the money...it depends on what it is really...
You're doing good in the stash dept. ;O)
