Well, I hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving. There is so much to be thankful and grateful for. I had a very nice time at my sister's house. My whole family was there, my brother's in-laws joined us. We really enjoyed the time with each other. My mom doesn't think the world of my brother's FIL but decided that life is too damn short to hold grudges and stuff so she decided to let bygones be bygones. Let's see how long that will last..hahahaha....
Well, I said special prayers for a few of my family members that are not in the best of health at the moment and ask that you reading this will do the same. My cousin Rachel, who is like another daughter to my mom, had unexpected open-heart surgery this past Monday...my Uncle/Nino is scheduled to have surgery in the next week or two for stomach cancer. Fortunately it is not malignant and contained in one area but they will be removing half of his stomach and my BIL's cousin George is scheduled to have surgery on Monday for renal cancer. They are running tests to rule out bone marrow cancer as well......So needless to say, these folks need ALL the prayers and good thoughts possible and I know that my good friends will help me with that...
As for our annual Family Christmas party, well my sis has decided to cancel it considering all that is going on. We just do not have it in our hearts to try to celebrate and be festive when three of our loved ones are not going to be there because of their recuperation.
As for the rest of this holiday week-end, I will be just vegging out and enjoying some very needed ME time. I am working on my knitting projects and reading a little. I have to start decorating for Christmas too. House lights are already up. I love Christmas lights....they make me happy.....
Okay, well that is about if for now. I hope all had a blessed day and please, never take for granted what we have been blessed with and appreciate every little minute that we have with our loved ones......Take care...love you all...Julie

So sorry to hear about your family members. I hate cancer! Going to go write them down in my prayer journal...lots of prayers going there way! Glad you were able to spend time with them. Time is so short...very precious.
Sending you lots of hugs...
Hey Julie!
Love your new layout! It totally tweaks my old eyeballs tho! LOL! You'll be teaching me a thing or two about blogging pretty soon!! ;O)
I have your family in my prayers for sure. I'm so sorry to hear about Rachel, she's been through so much over the years. How is she doing since the surgery?
Well, remember to take good care of yourself while all this is going on too, just like you told me when my Mom was having her tough time. Your sis and family need you.
I can't wait to see your knitting projects. It's a great way to relax too, which you totally need right now.
(((Hugs!!!))) And Tell your sis Hi too K?
